Hong Sangsoo

Hong Sangsoo ( 홍상수) debütierte 1996 mit seinem erstaunlichen Spielfilm The Day A Pig Fell Into The Well. Seitdem sind 28 Filme entstanden, für die Hong das Drehbuch schrieb und Regie führte. Sie alle zeichnet eine komplexe und strenge Architektur unter einer scheinbar einfachen Oberfläche aus, die durch wie zufällig wirkende Interaktionen der Figuren entsteht. Bekannt für seine einzigartige Bildsprache und seine beispiellose Filmästhetik – zählt Hong Sangsoo zu den etabliertesten Autorenfilmern des zeitgenössischen koreanischen Kinos.
