Lia Bertels

Lia Bertels studied the cartoon film in the Cambre (2006-2011). Director in the soul, her becomes attached very fast to a poetic cinema giving so much importance for the writing as for the expression of her characters, any heights of intentions and humor (" It's none of your business", " Youssouf le Souffleur").

She likes lingering over the details which say length about it on the characters and dedicate every his energy and its spirit to represent the invisible in each of us, the unconfessed gesture which betrays us all in our most just character, leaving behind her a profound lesson of humanism.

Musical clips were realized live in the pure illustration via(including) the animation there, its instrument of preference, Lia Bertels makes of the graphic expression, which she masters in her way in an effective and bare style, a real plea for the deep nature of beings, taking her public in an extremely intimate sphere of perceptions and feelings.

 Lia Bertels a étudié le cinéma d’animation à La Cambre (2006-2011). Réalisatrice dans l’âme, elle s’attache très vite à un cinéma poétique accordant autant d’importance à l’écriture qu’à l’expression de ses personnages, tous pleins d’intentions et d'humeur ("Ceci ne vous regarde pas", "Youssouf le Souffleur"). 

Elle aime s'attarder sur les détails qui en disent long sur les personnages et consacre toute son énergie et son esprit à représenter l'invisible en chacun de nous, le geste inavoué qui nous trahit tous dans notre caractère le plus juste, laissant derrière elle une profonde leçon d'humanisme. 

Des clips musicaux réalisés en live à l'illustration pure en passant par l'animation, son instrument de prédilection, Lia Bertels fait de l'expression graphique, qu'elle maîtrise à sa façon dans un style efficace et dépouillé, un véritable plaidoyer pour la nature profonde des êtres, emportant son public dans une sphère extrêmement intime de perceptions et de sentiments
