La Princesa de Francia (The Princess of France) Matías Piñeiro

Víctor returns to Buenos Aires following the death of his father and a lengthy absence. He brings with him a new project for his old theater troupe: a radio play of Shakespeare’s comedy "Love's Labour's Lost" complete with live music. It's not only at the recording sessions in the sound studio that the Bard’s verses are in the air, they also form the basis for the cheerful circular dance of relationships which positions Víctor right in the midst of girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, lovers, best friends, and perhaps future girlfriends. Love comes and goes, kisses are exchanged together with any number of fine words, love letters end up in the wrong hands, and fallacies and confusions ensue. The camera carefully scans the characters faces and several historical paintings in equal measure.

Troisième opus du projet Las Shakespeariadas, La Princesa de Francia est une adaptation libre et vivace de Peines d’amour perdues. Piñeiro y développe un style où le langage du cinéma fusionne encore un peu plus avec celui du théâtre et de la littérature (tant dans leur syntaxe que dans leur musicalité). Après la mort de son père, Victor (Julián Larquier Tellarini) quitte Mexico et retourne à Buenos Aires, où il tente de raviver ses ambitions artistiques tout en tentant de résister à d’anciennes histoires sentimentales. Il se lance dans une adaptation radio de la pièce Peines d’amour perdues pour son ancienne troupe théâtrale. Une équipe de cinq femmes : Paula,
sa petite amie, Ana, son amante, Natalia, son ex, Lorena, qui a des vues sur lui, et Carla, une inconnue qui pourrait être sa prochaine passion. Portée par la ruse et la tentation, la vie du garçon rattrape la fiction et les peines d’amour perdues s’avèrent contagieuses. Rêve et réalité se brouillent avec charme entre monologues romantiques, récits circulaires et motifs shakespeariens.

Nach dem Tod seines Vaters und längerer Abwesenheit kehrt Víctor nach Buenos Aires zurück. Er bringt ein neues Projekt für seine frühere Theatergruppe mit: ein Radiohörspiel von Shakespeares Komödie "Verlorene Liebesmüh" mit Live-Musik. Nicht nur bei den Aufnahmen im Tonstudio liegen Shakespeares Verse in der Luft, sie sind auch die Vorlage für den munteren Beziehungsreigen, der Víctor zwischen Freundin, Ex-Freundin, Geliebter, seiner besten und der vielleicht zukünftigen Freundin situiert. Die Liebe kommt und geht, viele Küsse werden getauscht und noch mehr Worte gemacht, Herzensbotschaften geraten in die falschen Hände, Irrungen und Wirrungen nehmen ihren Lauf. Die Kamera tastet die Gesichter der Figuren und einige historische Gemälde behutsam ab.
